SWIFT & COMPANY CHOOSES V-RAM SOLIDs
PUMP SYSTEMS FOR THEIR APPLICATIONS

Swift & Company is a long standing customer of V-Ram Solids. They have chosen V-Ram pumps to move materials in many of their pork plants.

In 1996 Swift & Company in Marshalltown, Iowa needed a way to move 70,000 lbs/hr of ground un-rendered pork product from a Dupps pre-breaker to one 1800 Dupps cooker and one 1200 Dupps cooker. A 20" Double pump was installed to move this material 75' to the cookers with each side of the pump pumping separately.

In October 1997 a 20" single pump was installed to move hog bones, flesh, and fat at the rate of 36,000 lbs/hr. They were pumping a distance of 330'.

 In Louisville, Kentucky they purchased an 11" pump in 1988 to move hog hind feet and trimmings. They were pumping 5,000 lbs/hr a distance of 180'. Ten years later, in 1998, they ordered another 11" pump to replace the older style.

In 2001 they were so pleased with the application of the 20" double pump in Marshalltown, IA, they bought a 20" double pump in 2001 to pump ground un-rendered pork product to two cookers at the rate of 70,000 lbs/hr.

 The Swift plant in Worthington, Minnesota came to us with application to move pork bones coming off a hydro-seperator that were in a firm plug that was 10" in diameter and 18" long.

They needed to pump 8,000 lbs/hr a distance of 200'. A 16" single pump was installed for this application in February of 1996.
