Olson Mfg. Co. founded in 1895
to make barn equipment for dairy barns.

"Necessity," it is said, "is the mother of invention." And out of his great need for better equipment, Mr. G.A. Olson, a practical farmer, invented his famous hay tools over twenty-five years ago.

From his little workshop on the Olson Homestead, these first tools went to help the farmers of the Northwest make their work more pleasant and more profitable. Other equipment for the dairy farmer followed.

The leadership of the Olson line, today made in a large modern factory, can be traced to its practical beginning. Equipment made to fill the practical needs of everyday farm life.
